Summary

Overview: This is one of the School-to-Work programs that Orange County Public School offers under School Choice for students interested in a different approach to the traditional high school setting. It combines both academic and employment opportunities by affording students the option of attending school for a half day and earning income by working the other half. Classes are taught by OCPS certified teachers. Students at UEC develop life skills and earn credits through work experience. Obtaining a high school diploma is the priority. When our students graduate they take with them a solid foundation in academics as well as invaluable interpersonal skills they gain by working at Universal Orlando. Highlights: Practical paid work experience Opportunity to raise GPA and catch up on credits Summer School provided The student's diploma reflects the name of their home school Bus transportation is offered Program Qualifications: A student must: Be 16-19 years of age Meet employment requirements for Universal Orlando Have a strong desire to be successful in a nontraditional school setting Have no major discipline referrals Meet credit requirements as determined by our Guidance counselor.
